GSN To Air Meghan Markle Documentary Special Sunday, January 21

For its second episode of the network’s newest docuseries, Cover Story, GSN explores the backstory of actress, philanthropist, social activist and former Deal or No Deal model Meghan Markle. Markle has made national and international headlines in the past few months since her engagement to Prince Harry, fifth in line to the British throne, was announced in November 2017.

As an actress, Markle appeared in several television shows and movies, including all seven seasons of Suits (USA Network), CSI: Miami (CBS), The League (FX), Remember Me (2010), Get Him To The Greek (2010) and Horrible Bosses (2011). She announced her retirement from her acting career to focus more on her pending royal duties after the engagement announcement in a Sky News interview.

Cover Story is GSN’s new documentary series that takes a deep dive into some of the most notable and newsworthy game show-related moments and stories in the genre’s lengthy history. The docuseries debuted last week with the episode taking (another) look at the Michael Larson’s incredible feat of cracking the code to the famous Press Your Luck Big Board and winning $110,237 in one day – stunning CBS and show’s staff in the process.

Although GSN has aired one-off documentaries before, such as Video Game Invasion in 2004, the network had widened its scope and produced a compelling series called Anything To Win in 2006, which revolved around famous pop culture figures who went above and beyond and would stop at nothing to dominate in their field. Past subjects included the rise and fall of John DeLorean, Tonya Harding and Bobby Fischer.

Take a look at a couple of previews in the clips below and stay tuned for this week’s edition of Cover Story Sunday, January 21 at 7:00pm ET on GSN.
