Kevin Hart To Host “TKO: Total Knock Out” CBS Game Show

The prolific comedian has been tapped to host the new competition series produced by Mark Burnett and MGM Television. TKO: Total Knock Out is scheduled to air on CBS this summer. Ten hourlong episodes have been ordered for the first season.

TKO: Total Knock Out has a contestant running through a series of obstacles while four other contestants are positioned at battle stations attempting to knock their opponent off-kilter while navigating through the course. The top two contestants advance to the final round to compete for the top cash prize.

MGM Television and HartBeat Productions will produce the new CBS series and MGM will distribute the show internationally. Barry Poznick will also executive produce the series with Mark Burnett and Kevin Hart.

ABC found a seasonal gold mine with its own obstacle course game show Wipeout for seven seasons from 2008-2014. It’s going to be interesting to see if CBS can replicate their competitor’s success. Hopefully, it will be better than last year’s CBS summer game show, Candy Crush.
