Big news today from Nickelodeon: the network’s revival of perhaps the greatest kids game show of all time has finally found its host in actress and YouTube comedienne Liza Koshy. Koshy is joined by the show’s original host Marc Summers, who will provide the color commentary throughout each episode.
This was a great casting move by Nickelodeon to tap Koshy as the new host of Double Dare, blending the 90s nostalgia of the popular game show with the millennial presence of a young celebrity who slowly rose to fame with the help of Vine and YouTube. I’ve been a fan of her comedic, clever, corny and child-friendly content for about two years. There is no doubt she will bring the same energy, excitement and humor to upcoming iteration of Double Dare. I’m looking forward to it.
