Pardon my extended absence, but The Blog Is Right is back full-time! Today’s update article takes a look at some of the latest US and international game show news in 200 characters or less.

Claire Sattler, Maya Wright and Emma Arnold are this year’s finalist in the 2018 Jeopardy! Teen Tournament. The two-game finals air November 18-19 to determine the $100,000 champion.

In a recent interview by Vulture, Alex Trebek discussed the state of game shows and his tenure on Jeopardy!. One of Trebek’s pet peeves is contestants employing “The Forrest Bounce” stratagem.

UK game show personalities Anne Hegerty (The Governess on The Chase) and host Nick Knowles are among the stars competing in the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.

Nickelodeon alums Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell compete against each other on a special episode of Double Dare this Wednesday at 7:00pm ET.

Last Wednesday, Melissa McCarthy fulfilled her lifelong dream of playing on The Price Is Right. James Corden hosted a special segment on The Late Late Show with McCarthy playing “Pick A Number” for a Sea-Doo.

Last week, Eric Sideras became the first $100,000 winner of the 36th season of Wheel of Fortune. Sideras racked up over $123,000 in cash and prizes for the day.

New episodes of America Says will begin airing weeknights at 9:00pm ET starting November 26 on Game Show Network.

Deal or No Deal aired its second special last week focusing on the show’s contestant casting process. Check out the full episode on CNBC.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire returns to ITV for a second 10-episode revival series in 2019. Jeremy Clarkson returns to host the show.

The Price Is Right Live is headed to Georgia in 2019 to hold performances in Hiawasee on March 23, Atlanta on March 26, Macon on April 6 and Athens on April 7.

Tim Tebow has been tapped to host CBS’s new game show Million Dollar Mile. Contestants compete in a mile-long obstacle course filled with elite athletes attempting to stop them at all costs.

Nickelodeon’s new episodes of Keep It Spotless averaged 953,000 viewers on Tuesday, 820,000 viewers on Wednesday and 818,000 viewers on Thursday.

Child Support averaged 2.36M viewers (+8.8%) and a 0.4 A18-49 rating Friday evening. The second season is averaging 2.16M viewers and a 0.42 A18-49 rating so far – a ~40% drop compared to its first.

In syndication for the week ending November 4, Feud rose 5% to 6.4, Jeopardy! remained at 6.1, Wheel increased 3% to 6.1, Millionaire increased to 1.6 and Funny You Should Ask froze at 0.5.

For the week ending November 9, Let’s Make A Deal and The Price Is Right posted its highest ratings in four months with 2.82M (LMAD one), 4.39M (TPIR one) and 5.05M (TPIR two) total viewers.
